LEARN TO FLY AT SCONE AERO CLUB
Recreational Aviation Australia (RAA) Pilot Training is currently available at Scone Aero Club via Senior Instructor Neville Partridge in the Foxbat A22. Current CFI (Chief Flying Instructor) is Keith McGeachie from the Lower Hunter. The Foxbat has been online since being purchased new in March 2008 & has proven a very popular training aircraft since then.
Contact Neville Partridge 0429 111 912 to discuss having a TIF (Trial Introductory Flight) or just jump right in and commence your training.
Whilst there are some limitations with Recreational Flying some may wish to pursue a GA (General Aviation) PPL (Private Pilot Licence) or CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence). Scone Aero Club now have local GA training available.

Social activities at Scone Aero Club
Every Friday afternoon the Bar opens at 4.30pm, with Club Barman Bernard Cronin looking after your needs with professionalism.
Barman Bernard Cronin
On every second Friday at 6.30 for 7.00pm an enjoyable Meal is available for (usually) $12.50 per person. The menu varies from fortnight to fortnight prepared by Ellen Partridge & her wonderful team of lady members who includes Trish Ferguson, Sue Ayres, Cheryl Knox, Suzanne Henderson on a regular basis & many others when they can help. Of course the men don't get off lightly, assisting with Barbequeing as required.
If you have a group flying into Scone on a Meal Night, an email or phone call would help in our catering needs, advising of your intentions a few days ahead - We would love to see you visit!
Check the Calendar to see when & what is happening when planning a visit.
Of course on most weekends there are usually a few members around the Club House & only too happy to get you a Tea/Coffee & have a chat whilst you take a break / refuel in transit

The new Hangar slab gets poured with plenty of helpers on July 17, 2010
Scone Aero Club operates at Scone Airport with its own Licenced Club Rooms & Hangar / Flight Room.
Currently the Hangar is being upgraded with a totally new building being built by voluntary labour of Club Members & will be finished in the latter half of 2010. The Hangar will include a new Flight Hut as well as, eventually, an emergency accommodation room available for pilots weathered in or needing an emergency stopover for whatever reason.
Of course the hangar will be home to the Club's Foxbat 24-5357 training aircraft & anticipated down the track further aircraft.
